Meet Lindsay Ux
In honor of Dental Assistant Recognition Week, New Hampshire Family Dentistry wants to recognize our dental assistant, Lindsay Ux, for her fun-loving personality and hard work in our office. Want to get to know Lindsay a little better? Read our interesting Q&A with her and find out what rugged sport she played in College. (We’ll give you one hint: it certainly wasn’t ballet!)
What’s your favorite part of your job?
I love being social and interacting with the patients. We have been with some of our patients for so long that they feel like family.
What has been your most memorable moment as a dental assistant?
I will always remember when we had a 5-year old girl come in the office and needed some fillings done and she asked if she could hold my hand because she was scared. I was happy that just by lending her my hand made her that much more comfortable with her visit.
What made you want to become a dental assistant?
My family has always been in the dental field so it came naturally to me. I wanted to do something to help people and Dentistry seemed to fit me perfect!
In one sentence, convince us why we should brush and floss every day.
It’s simple. If you want to keep your teeth, have good oral hygiene and fresh breath, then you should floss and brush every day!
What is one thing your patients would be surprised to know about you?
I think they would be surprised to know that in college I played Rugby.
Keeping your patient’s smiles healthy is the main focus of your job but what is one of your favorite guilty-pleasure-cavity-inducing snacks?
My guilty pleasure would be gummy bears!
If you could have one superhero power, what would it be and why?
I would like to have the power of transportation. In a moments notice, it would be awesome to be wherever I wanted.
