The Halloween Candy Buy-Back Program is Back at New Hampshire Family Dentistry

Sweet Treats for the Troops.

Every year, New Hampshire Family Dentistry hosts an annual Halloween candy buy-back to collect Halloween candy from children all over Hillsborough County, to support our military and to provide candy for our troops overseas during the holidays.

We encourage families to go out and safely enjoy the annual “night of fright”. It’s such a great time for the kiddos. They very diligently pick out their costumes, bundle up to go out trick-or-treating, and then come home with a load of candy. In fact, many children collect more than enough candy and sweet treats to last them the entire year! This leaves many parents wondering what to do with all of that candy. While there’s no denying the fun of this spook-tacular holiday, it can be truly scary for their teeth! So how can you and your kids enjoy all the festivities without damaging your dental health?

Let them have a few treats on Halloween night and maybe even keep a little more for the following weeks. After picking out the best of their stash, we’ll take the rest of it and in return, we’ll give your kids $1 per pound of donated candy! The more candy you bring in, the more your piggy bank will benefit!

We will be buying candy October 31st thru November 10th

The “Halloween Candy Buy Back” event at our dental office in Manchester offers children the opportunity to sell their excess Halloween candy. The candy will be sent in care packages to U.S. troops serving overseas via Operation Gratitude. Since the program’s inception in 2012, dentists have shipped over 130 tons of candy to service men and women around the world.

A result of the candy buy-back program, is that our troops have a reminder of home, and in a small way, get to share in the festivities. Troops can also share the candy with locals where they are stationed as a show of trust and goodwill.

New Hampshire Family Dentistry wants to make proper dental care a part of every family’s Halloween. We think it’s fine if kids (and parents) have a sweet treat sometimes as long as they brush & floss after to prevent cavities.

If you’d like to be extra helpful, please sort your candy into chocolate & non-chocolate before you bring it in, as Operation Gratitude requests that these be separated.

We look forward to seeing you and your children! Like us on Facebook for upcoming events!

Happy Haunting!
